The best packaging is as little as possible. At Oona, every product ships in a single layer of packaging, nothing more than what is needed to protect it on its journey to you. Like bread from a bakery, wrapped simply and honestly. No excess. No waste. No layers that exist purely for appearance. Less is not a compromise. It is a choice we are proud of.
reuse
Before anything leaves our hands, every material that can be reused within our process is. Boxes, wrapping, padding, all find a second life before they are ever discarded. What reaches you is already the result of a more considered process. On your end, we keep it simple. If you can find another use for what arrives, wonderful. If not, you can get it recycled easily.

When your order travels further, we ship in corrugated boxes made from natural materials. No plastic. No synthetic fillers. Nothing that cannot return to the earth in one form or another. Every material is chosen with the same intention as everything else at Oona. To do as little harm as possible and as much good as we can.
waste less with fresh
Freshness and waste are opposites. When everything is made to order, nothing is left over. No excess production. No old stock. No waste. The moment your order is placed, we begin. Fresh ingredients, made fresh, sent fresh. Directly to you. This is how we waste less. By making only what is needed, only when it is needed.
an honest admission
We will be honest with you. All inter-city orders are currently shipped by air. We know this has a carbon cost and we do not take that lightly. As Oona grows, we are committed to building local production closer to you so that one day, this footprint is tiny. Until then, we are grateful for your understanding and your trust.
