Sleep like a baby.

Prachi’s nightly ritual for the perfect night’s rest. Every night, she winds down with this soothing magnesium rich cacao drink, and it works like magic. Calming, and cosy, it’s her secret to sleeping like a baby.

What you'll need

Ingredients

Makes 1 cup of 180ml

  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 cardamom (elaichi)
  • 1/2 tsp dried chamomile flowers
  • 1/2 tsp rose petals (optional)
  • 1 clove (laung)
  • Pinch of Nutmeg
  • 1 tsp honey
  • Finely chopped Cacao - 20g (1/2 of the 40g cacao bar or 4 triangles).

We recommend finely chopping the cacao. In warmer climates, break the cacao directly in the saucepan and stir lightly till it is well combined.

Instructions

  1. Pour milk and water into a saucepan.
  2. Lightly crush cardamom, chamomile, rose petals, clove and nutmeg in a mortar and pestle and add them to the saucepan.
  3. Meanwhile chop the cacao and keep it on the side.
  4. Bring the saucepan to a boil and let it simmer for a couple of minutes.
  5. Take it off the heat and mix in the chopped cacao and honey.
  6. Your Sleepy Cacao is ready. Have it an hour before sleep, turn off all digital devices and sip slowly. Now sleep like a baby.
